This policy explains what PayWithLedgr Ltd. ("we", "us") collects when you use PayWithLedgr, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We have written it in plain language rather than legalese.
What we collect
- Account details — your name, email address and password (stored only as a cryptographic hash, never in readable form).
- Identity information — where regulation requires it, the details needed to verify who you are and to issue a card.
- Wallet information — the public address and network of any wallet you link, plus its verification status.
- Usage data — basic technical information such as device type and approximate region, used to keep the service secure and working.
What we never collect
We do not store your recovery phrase or private keys. They are used on your device to establish the link to your wallet and are never transmitted to us in a form we retain. Because of that, we cannot move your funds — and neither can anyone who compromises our systems.
How we use it
- To create and operate your account and issue your card.
- To verify wallet ownership and meet legal and compliance obligations.
- To send transactional email — verification codes, review outcomes, security notices.
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse of the service.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary, and only with providers who process data on our behalf: card issuing and payment partners, identity verification providers, cloud hosting, our transactional email provider, and — if you accept it — our live chat provider. Each is bound by contract to protect your data. We may also disclose information where the law compels us to.
Cookies and live chat
This site sets no advertising or profiling cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
- Live chat — our chat provider sets its own cookies and records the pages you viewed so a conversation can be picked up where it left off. It loads only after you agree, and never before. Choose "Essential only" and it is not loaded at all.
- Your choice — we store your decision in your browser so we do not ask on every visit. You can change it at any time using "Cookie choices" at the foot of any page, and we will ask again after six months.
- Measurement — where we measure traffic, we use a privacy-preserving service that sets no cookies and cannot identify you individually.
How long we keep it
We keep account data for as long as your account is open. After you close it, we retain the minimum required by financial regulation — typically several years — and then delete it.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it subject to the retention rules above. You can also object to certain processing and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Email support@paywithledgr.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Passwords are hashed with a slow, salted algorithm. Access to production systems is restricted and audited. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat this seriously and will notify you promptly if a breach affects you.
Changes
If we make a material change to this policy we will let you know by email or in the app before it takes effect.
